Regen is made by [LEGAL ENTITY]. This explains what Regen collects, where it goes, and what you can do about it. It covers the Regen iPhone app and this website.
What Regen collects
Regen collects only what it needs to build your week and keep your account working.
Your Apple account. When you sign in with Apple we keep the identifier Apple gives us, your name, and your email address if Apple chooses to share it. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one, and it may give us no address at all. We never see your Apple password.
Your profile. The name and handle you choose, and your profile photo if you add one.
Your daily activity. Regen reads your activity from Apple Health. Only daily totals leave your phone, along with your time zone: steps, walking and running distance, active energy, exercise minutes, hours slept, the number of workouts, and two windowed figures — steps before 9am and active energy after 6pm. The underlying Health samples are read on your phone and never sent anywhere.
Your week. The challenges Regen builds for you, how far you have got with each, your streak, and the badges you have earned. These are worked out from your daily totals.
Your friends. Who you are friends with, who has asked, who you have muted, and the cheers sent between you.
Your device. A push token so notifications can reach your phone, and the name your phone reports for itself, so you can tell your sessions apart.
Your subscription. Whether Regen Pro is active, which plan, when it renews, and whether a trial has been used.
What Regen does not collect
No advertising. Regen carries no ads and no advertising identifiers.
No analytics or tracking. Regen contains no analytics, crash reporting, attribution, or tracking software of any kind, from us or from anyone else. Nothing follows you between apps or websites.
No contacts. Regen never asks for or reads your address book.
No location. Regen never asks for or records where you are.
No payment details. Your card never touches Regen. Purchases are handled by Apple.
No Health samples. Individual readings, workout routes, heart rate, and anything else in Apple Health stay on your phone.
Who else handles your data
Regen uses three companies to run, and no others.
Convex hosts Regen’s database and files. Everything described above, apart from what stays on your phone, is stored with Convex.
Apple provides Sign in with Apple, sends push notifications to your phone, and takes payment for Regen Pro.
RevenueCat manages subscriptions. It receives your Regen account identifier and tells us whether Pro is active. It receives nothing about your health, your friends, or your profile.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
What other people can see
Your friends see your name, your handle, your photo, and one sentence about how your week is going — for example that you are on a streak, or that you have cleared a certain number of challenges. They never see your step count, your sleep, or any other figure from Apple Health.
Anyone using Regen can find you by typing your handle exactly. There is no way to browse or search for people by name. If you would rather not be found, change your handle in the app.
Muting a friend is private. They are not told.
How long it is kept
Notifications are deleted automatically after thirty days.
Everything else is kept for as long as your account exists.
Signing out leaves your account and its data untouched. Only deleting your account removes them.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from Settings in the app. It is immediate and it cannot be undone. Your weeks, your challenges, your daily totals, your baselines, your badges, your friendships, the cheers you sent and received, your notifications, your photo, your sessions, and your account itself are all removed.
Regen Pro is a subscription with Apple, so deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings, or you will keep being charged.
Your choices
Health. You control what Regen may read, in the Health app under Sources. Turning something off stops Regen reading it from that moment. Regen needs Health access to build a week at all.
Notifications. You can turn challenge reminders and friend activity on or off separately in Regen’s Settings, and turn all notifications off in iOS.
Your profile. Your name, handle, and photo can be changed at any time in the app.
Your data. Write to us at [CONTACT EMAIL] to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to have something corrected, or to have it deleted. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, and we will honour them.
Children
Regen is not for children under [MINIMUM AGE]. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone younger. If you believe a child has an account, write to us at [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will tell you in the app if the change is significant.
